If you’re someone who savours the comfort and tastiness of a homecooked meal, as well as a fan of chicken, then look no further. Chicken & Blues is a growing chicken restaurant, with a big heart and a special menu. At the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards earlier this year, they won Best Chicken Restaurant in Southern England and Wales – and this is just the beginning!
Chicken & Blues have permanent residence in 3 places already, but that hasn’t stopped them from reaching more. One of their unique charms is their food truck, which launched in 2023 and gets booked out for all sorts of events. The truck itself used to be a motorhome, but they converted it to include a restaurant-quality kitchen, meaning that people can experience “Mama’s Home Cookin’” even on four wheels! As well as this, they did a six-month residency in Bristol, in which time they served just under 500,000 people. With food (and music!) that warms the soul, it’s easy to see why Chicken & Blues attracts so many people!
The restaurant started out under the name Chicken Shack, where it was so popular, they found themselves running out of chicken multiple times in the first week! As the restaurant was born out of something the team loved, this theme stayed with them when trying to think of a new name for it when franchising the business. It’s a place that serves tasty chicken, and plays blues music – and so, the name Chicken & Blues seemed only natural!
