With 8 locations, including brand new restaurant at St Paul’s, London, the UK is hearing more and more about Farmer J, and how much they ‘give a fork’:
“Hello, I’m Farmer J, I make good food, that’s good for you, is ready when you are, fills you up, doesn’t require and mortgage and is never, ever boring. I roll with the seasons, source locally when I can and always cook with the best ingredients. If I wouldn’t feed it to my family, I wouldn’t feed it to you.”
In Farmer J’s mission to change the game when it comes to sustainable food, they really care about where their ingredients come from and how they’re prepared. It all starts with rolling with the seasons, sourcing local UK ingredients only, meaning customers get the freshest meals, with no airmiles spared. They source their meat from as many high-welfare British farms as possible (and are always on the hunt for more) and cook everything from scratch at their restaurant kitchens.
With sustainability in mind, they do of course provide an abundance of vegetarian and vegan options and take pride in treating veg the same as meat and fish, using whole ingredients with no hidden additions, meaning customers always know what they’re eating.
In our previous brand feature blog, we shared all about Dishoom, including the amazing charity partnerships they have – well, Farmer J also partner with charity Magic Breakfast - a charity with one objective - to make sure no child starts their school day hungry.
With children up and down the country, too hungry to learn, Magic Breakfast work with primary schools to give underprivileged children a nutritious breakfast – costing just 30p per child per day. Customers of Farmer J can opt to add 30p to their bill to ‘give a fork’ back.
Farmer J have also teamed up with global food charity, Action Against Hunger, who help fight world hunger, saving the lives of malnourished children. Every time you buy a Harissa Chicken Fieldtray, 10p will go towards Action Against Hunger.
With Famer J being passionate about healthy nutrition, earlier this year they partnered with London’s leading boutique fitness studio, Psycle, and produced 4 Psycle Fieldtray recipes so that you can create your own healthy Farmer J Fieldtrays at home. Check out the recipes here.
Psycle are offering Farmer J customers unlimited access to Psycle At Home which includes a library of on-demand classes and daily live workouts, at the reduced rate of £25 per month (usually £35) complete with a 14 day free trial so you can try their new home studio risk free. Find out more here.
