Since their launch in 2004, family-owned Thai Leisure Group now have 4 brands across 17 sites in the UK. The success of the business started with a vision from one of the founders, Kim, who grew up in rural Thailand. Her passion for authentic cooking, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit, saw her open her first Pad Thai cart in 1993. After a move to Leeds 11 years later, Thai Leisure Group was born with the opening of their first brand, Chaophraya.
Pronounced chow-pry-a and named after the major river and lifeblood of Thailand, its ethos is to deliver exceptional Thai cuisine with a personal touch, in a glamourous setting. With private dining experiences and Thai inspired cocktails, the brand lives by its company value of ‘Sanook’ – which means to have fun and enjoy the journey.

Their restaurant at Meadowhall in Sheffield provides shoppers with a re-fuel at their all-you-can-eat Thai banquet, including their famous Kao Soi Gai soup. Chaobaby have also teamed up with ‘Too Good To Go’ - an initiative to help fight food waste - for £4 per bag and at least 5 available every day, customers can enjoy delicious Thai recipes at a discounted price.
